Certified Critical Chain Project Manager

Introduction:

The new Certified Critical Chain Project Manager – A New Paradigm (CCPM) is an innovative approach with techniques that can dramatically improve the performance of all types of projects in companies of all sizes.

This innovative approach (The Boeing Company, Mazda, OMRON, Ricoh Company, etc.) has been adopted by thousands of leading organizations, and the Japanese government decided in 2008 to use CCPM in all government construction projects (about 20,000 projects per year). They all had miraculous results.

For years, project networks have failed in most organizations to drive correct behaviors among program and project managers, executives, and resource managers.

Many people involved in projects do not like to use networks because they are so cumbersome and often obsolete soon after execution begins. The aim of this module is to introduce a simple and effective method for project planning which can be used in conjunction with project management software.

Participants should be able to learn a simple, efficient project planning method to improve project management and collaboration, overcoming traditional network limitations.

  • Define the project’s measurable goals, tangible scope, and sponsor criteria.
  • Define the backbone of the network.
  • Expand the skeleton of the network.
  • Define additional dependencies.
  • Check the network against project goals, scope, and deliverables.
  • Resource the project tasks.
  • Scrutinize with subject matter experts.
  • Estimate time durations.
  • Reduce durations without compromise.
  • Perform a final risk assessment.

This course will share with you a new set of methods that, when used correctly, can allow you to complete projects 25% faster without sacrificing scope or budget. But that’s not all. You can increase the number of projects executed with the same resources by 25%, increasing the throughput of your organization.

Upon completing this course, participants should be able to select the right project methodology, maximize the portfolio’s project completion throughput, optimize the portfolio’s project completion reliability, and immediately implement CCPM using LYNX software.
